Howdy, folks! We’re thrilled to announce plans for the 2026 Pile O’Bowls Open Tournament, and we’d sure be honored to have you ride along with us for all the action!  With plenty of fun and friendly competition on the horizon, we just need y’all to help get this show on the road.
 
Sweeten the deal: There’s a mighty fine offer for teams who saddle up early! Register and pony up payment by April 1st and you’ll score a 10% early-bird discount, bringin’ your entry fee down to $180.
But don’t linger on the trail — this roundup is capped at just 20 teams. Once the roster’s full, the gate’s closed!

Pile O'Bowls Open

Welcome to the most anticipated event of the summer - the Pile O' Bowls Open (POBO).  Step into the heart of the Wild West next summer as the Regina Lawn Bowling Club proudly hosts a thrilling, high-stakes lawn bowling tournament like no other.

Born out of  a desire to revolutionize the national lawn bowling scene, POBO presents a fresh and exciting take on the sport, combining the thrill of competition with the hospitality of the Wild West.  Hosted at the scenic Regina Lawn Bowling Club, POBO offers a truly unique experience.  

July 31 - August 3, 2026 - POBO is an open 4s concept, comprising any combination of men and women, competing in 12 end games, 3 games per day, 9 games guaranteed.  The promise of excitement at every roll.  

But POBO isn't just about the greens; it's about embracing the spirit of the west with its full-fledged festival of fun.  Open bar, lively music, western grub - creating an atmosphere where competitors and spectators alike can enjoy a unique fusion of sport and camaraderie, and the promise of unforgettable memories.

Registration Cost:
The cost to play in POBO is $200 CAD per person ($800 CAD per team). Each team is guaranteed a total of 9 round robin games.

Discount!!  Register and submit payment by April 1st and the cost to play is $180 CAD per person.

Meals:
Morning snacks, lunches and afternoon snacks will be provided for an all inclusive early bird fee of $10.00 per day.

The bar will be open!

Transportation will be the responsibility of the players.
Event Format
POBO is a mix and match open 4's tournament. Round up your posse of four and enter for a chance to claim the bounty! Your posse can be comprised of any combination of bounty hunters!

Registration Cost:
The cost to play in POBO is $200 CAD per person ($800 CAD per team). Each team is guaranteed a total of 9 round robin games.  If you register and pay by April 1, 2026, you will receive a 10% discount - bringing the registration fee down to $180 per player.

Bounty:
Of each teams' registration fee, $150/player will be allocated toward the Bounty, while 25% will be directed to the Regina Lawn Bowling Club as a hosting initiative.

Bounty Breakdown:
  • 50% to 1st place team
  • 25% to 2nd place team
  • 15% to 3rd place team
  • 10% to 4th place team
POBO is accepting a maximum of 20 posses so make sure you grab your spot to compete in this one-of-a-kind event!

After 9 intense games in the round robin, followed by thrilling quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, the results are in.  Big congratulations to our top 4 teams who wrangled their way into the money:
