Howdy, folks! We’re thrilled to announce plans for the 2025 Pile O’Bowls Open Tournament, and we’d sure be honored to have you ride along with us for all the action! With plenty of fun and friendly competition on the horizon, we just need y’all to help get this show on the road.
If we round up 8 teams by April 1, 2025, we’ll kick off POBO and keep on takin’ registrations until July 1st. That means more challengers, more excitement, and a whole heap of bowls! But if we don’t hit that magic number by April 1st, we’ll have to hang up our spurs, and those who’ve already signed up will get a full refund—no harm done.
Sweeten the deal: There's a mighty fine deal for those teams who saddle up early! If y’all register and pony up payment by April 1st, you’ll get a 10% discount, knockin’ the fee down to $180. So, why wait? Wrangle your spot before April 1st and be part of a tournament that’s sure to be one for the record books!

That’s a wrap for Pile O’ Bowls 2024, and what an unforgettable ride it’s been!
After 9 intense games in the round robin, followed by thrilling quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, the results are in:
1st Place – Rusty Spurs (Carter Watson, Jordan Kos, Joanna Cooper, Auzzie Chambers) – Bounty: $725 each
2nd Place – Trail Blazers (Jonathan Pituley, Darrell Hanoski, Harriette Pituley, Michael Pituley) – Bounty: $362.50 each
3rd Place – Strangers United (Michael O’Connor, Josh Cameron, Christelle O’Connor, Peter McCluskey) – Bounty: $217.50 each
4th Place – Regina Rawhides (Keith Roney, Jean Roney, Pat Schlotter, Karen Schlotter) – Bounty: $145 each
We also want to tip our hats to the following teams who tied for 5th place:
• Cuatro Amigas (Tammy Foster-Veinot, Shirley Fitzpatrick-Wong, Anita Nivala, Jackie Foster)
• Southern Long Guns (Owen Wright, Kevin Welykholowa, Dan Morin, Malcolm Taylor Jr.)
• Two Two Four Guys (Adrian McCormack, Mark Sutyla, Doug Normand, Doug Lambert)
• Tumble Weeds (John Siteman, David Calam, Heather Hanoski, Janet Watson)

Event Format
POBO is a mix and match open 4's tournament. Round up your posse of four and enter for a chance to claim the bounty! Your posse can be comprised of any combination of bounty hunters!
Registration Cost:
The cost to play in POBO is $200 CAD per person ($800 CAD per team). Each team is guaranteed a total of 9 round robin games. If you register and pay by April 1, 2025, you will receive a 10% discount - bringing the registration fee down to $180 per player.
Bounty:
All registration money will be added to the 'bounty'. The RLBC will take 25% of the bounty for organizing the competition. Posses placing in the top four spots will claim the other 75% of the bounty in CAD.
